-Lighter Flywheel?
-What is the block stamped as(B17?)
-Which head are you using?
-Stock Head Gasket? or 2layer?

dg

yes i want to use a lightweight flywheel. havent gotten one yet. I originally wanted a itr flywheel but too hard to find and many folks want a lot for them.

so ive been thinking of an act prostreet. I think its 12.46 pounds.

b17a w/ ctr 81.5mm pistons

b16a head with itr valvetrain

im going to buy a stock headgasket.

wtf dude why didnt i know about this?

how many times have you said, “havent i done this already”

ahahah. call me.

oh, and prostreet flywheel is tight, remember mine.

hahahahaha the truck and the scort. dude, i need to get my hands on enron. i havent touched a DA in uh, ive had my truck 5 years in november. yeah.

uhhhhhh updates?

:wtf:

seriously…

sorry guys ive been super busy. got sick for a week, got better then went out of the country for 2 weeks. just got back from south america today. a lil jet lagged but surprisingly im doing ok for a 13 hour flight:)

I honeslty havent done much to enron. Never anytime. I need to figure out what im going to do w/ the power steering and the abs. to keep it or not is the question. Its nice amenities but the engine would like so clean with it removed. also a wire tuck would be nice.

any thoughts or opinions?

If you aren’t going to daily drive the car, PS and AC definitely not needed.
Drop weight, open up the bay, why not?

Did you find the same shell many years later? If so, wow.

I say ditch the ABS for sure, the system in our cars sucks, if it were a newer system you may see a benefit at the track. PS is personal preference, if everything is in good working order I think having it can be nice. But it’s not needed and aesthetically it’s nice to have it gone from the bay.

Personally I’m not a huge fan of full on wire tucks. If you plan on painting the bay then you can make it look nice, but unless your bay is mint a tuck will usually look a bit “off” IMO. And if you do shaving be very careful and do your homework. All those pics we see online are “before” photos and often of cars which don’t see any actual use. If not done correctly you’ll start cracking all that areas you filled and then it’ll look horrible.

Start scoping out the shaving/tucking thread on H-T for ideas, there are tons of photos to help you make up your mind.
