That could have been your problem. You might not have torqued enough to be honest with you. You’re supposed to use 30 weight (30w) oil, not 10w30. Also, and you might have done this, you’re supposed to torque in 25lb increments til you get to 80 lbs. i.e: All at 25 lbs, then 50 lbs, 75 lbs, 80 lbs. If you didn’t do that, you may have not really torqued it down the way your supposed to.

i started off at 40 lbs and in correct headstuds sequence then 80 right after but the instruction wasnt very clear till after i read the ls v torque specs online

figure out the problem…the headgasket was upside down i think…

i did the leak down test…coming from the intake so i’m guessing valve seals too
