My car just started doing the same thing today after changing the 02 sensor.
Before my car wouldnt idle at all and die… Now its stuck between 1500-2000 just like yours. I’ll be checking everything you’ve mentioned so far.
My car had a bad idle similiar I believe it can be your iacv or a bad ground connection, either or re route or clean ur ground
