Tire size question?

Hello there i got a new set of wheels for my integra they are 15x6.5 what tire size will look better on them 195/50/R15 , 205/50/R15 or 195/55/R15 , 205,55,R15

It’s not a question of “looks” but what would be the closest to the height of the stock set of wheels (195/60/14) in order not to throw your speedo/odo meter readings out of whack. Do the math. Look at past threads. This has been covered so many times already.

the math…

195 divided by 25.4mm = n (n also = width in inches, sidewall to sidewall)
n x .60 = y
y x 2 + 14" rim = over all height

195/60 14 is 7.67" wide and 24.21" overall height

so basically just take ANY tire size and put the different numbers in place of those and which ever comes closest to the 195/60 14 then you’re good

205-50-15 is slightly smaller than stock
195-55-15 is slightly larger than stock

That is purely but crunching the numbers, but in actuality every different tire brand and model will be slightly different. Either of those two sizes will be fine. Which one do you want? Well, that depends on what you’re looking for in a tire, what are your priorities?

Personally I would choose a tire compound first, then buy whichever size it’s available in. But I would definitely try to make sure you end up with one of the above sizes. Most others will be significantly larger or smaller.
