Brake Pad Grease

I just brought some oem brake pads, and I was wondering where does the packet of black grease that came along with the pads go? Thank You for any help that is provided

I believe that grease is meant to be used between the caliper and the thin metal pieces that fit around the brake pad. I think the grease is just meant to keep them from squeaking. Its not meant to lubricate the brake pad surface though. It shouldn’t actually make contact with the brake pad. Last time I did brakes the packet of grease had directions on it for how to use it.

I put my grease in between the metal shim and the back of the brake pad. Doin fine so far this week while driving round.

Yup… in between the back of the brake pad and the metal shim. The leftovers, I just use it to masterbate with…

Thank you kindly guys.
