lowered, 215/40/17 on 17x7 wheel... too wide?

about 1 finger gap on koni yellows w/h&r race springs, +38 offset, with ingalls camber kit, just under -1 camber settings.

i currently have kumho 711’s but they are 205’s. they definitely don’t rub right now… but not sure if 215 will.

the reason i’m asking is because someone locally is selling a slightly used set of 215-es100’s for a killer price and i’m debating whether to go for it or not.

215’s might rub in the back. Thats where my car rubbed anyway.

i’m running yoko es100’s 215/40 on motegi mr7 17x7 right now with no rub…stock height however. it looks like i have plenty of room, but if its slammed it might be close

I got 225/50/17 on the back of my car they rub really bad in the corners but thats with stock suspension

there is a math equation to figure out what size of tire you should use and on our cars using the equation generally comes out to be 205/40/17 because they are as close to the stock tire size as possible but you can safely put on slightly bigger but them it messes with speedo and what not
