My voltage was 18.5 anything after 3500rpm+ so I put a new alternator in and it was still 18.5. So… I put a known good regulator on the alternator I had just put in and now it is 19.5 anything above 4000rpm… SOMEONE HELP!!!
are you running aftermarket pullys???
wow that high normal is 13.5 to 14.1
well even if your running a smaller pully the regulator should not put out anything more then around 14.4 i had this same problem my alternator was charging at 19v over 3000rpm went and warrentyed it out and fixed running right at 14.4 so some how you have gotten a few bad one try again. the other thing i can think is what happened to mine i had all my mounts powder coated and my alternator bracket was powder coated and i forgot that it self grounds and that is what casued the regulator to go out and charge at 19+ so make sure your grounds are good

Overcharging battery is cuased by a bad alternator.
Replace the alternator before more damage is done
