wanting to know what the thread size is for the sending unit on a b18a1 (i’msure they’re all the same though)?
i’m getting an aftermarket gauge/electric sender and want to make sure i get the right adapters
also looking at the wiring diagram…i see yellow/red goes from sending unit to cluster, now i may be wrong but isnt there 2 wires off of the sending unit? if so what is the other wire for?

One wire off the sending unit goes to ground, the other to your gauge.
You need a common adapter, autometer sells it, there is only one I believe, If I remember correctly it’s 1/8 BPST (on the b18) to 1/8 NPT (sender)

so the gauge will be grounded by wire and the sending unit will be also right?

ok looks like the sender is grounded by the threads actually easy enough.
even the stock sender is one prong connection
