snapped a bolt/stud!!!!

so I painted my valve cover!! came out very nice(wrinkle black) but in the process of putting it back on I overtightened a bolt and snapped a stud!!! So my question is can I replace the stud and get a new bolt??

                             Thanks, Chris

I snapped the one in between the timing belt cover and the part that covers the actual valves, cams, etc.

You just have to replace the stud. Not very hard to do at all. I think we have all done this at one point or another. I know I have!

Its the bolt that holds the valvecover down right? If it is then all you have to do is get a 10mm deep socket and take it out. Thats it. You could either use a regular bolt after that or use the OEM one. I think OEM would look better tho.

Thanks guys!!! Thats what I thought just making sure!!! :burnout:

Say LS_Teggy,

If that really is your painting work?

Then, — WOW — it came out great…:salute:
