Hey guys will a 95 gsr automatic trans ecu work on a 92-93 ls automatic?
it will but why would you want to? your motor wont run 100%, nor will the trans shift corretly
okay thanks for that, but thats my only back up ecu, the LS ecu just broke. another question, will it fuck up anything on the car if i run it?
GSR ECU would adjust map and A/F if you go into VTEC range or when the ecu tries to open the secondary butterflies.
Also if it is a stock (unmodified) GSR ECU wouldn’t you get codes becuse your motor does not have a knock sensor.
IMO not a good idea, It might not damage anythign but not the best alternative.
call around to wreckers or see if anyone has an used ecu for sale
Thanks for the info, i just needed to know if i could run it in the mean time while i find another ecu. I would let it sit but this my daily car…
