ive got my 91 rs and it wont shift out of 2nd and the s4 button dont work. could somebody help me out til i get the money to do manuel swap. thanks
#1. Do you put it in D ?
(I’ve seen ppl start it in “d2” and wonder why it wont shift)
#2. Try changing the transmission fluid. Teg tips:

Make sure you use Honda Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF)
#3. The S4 button only works when you select S3 and is ready to shift from 3rd “gear” to 4th.
I say change the tranny fluid to see if that helps. I had a crapload of problems with my transmission on my auto teg when i first got it. As soon as I followed that tegtip and changed the ATF, it solved 99% of my problems…
when i put it in D itll shift 1st and 2nd then slip out so i have to pull it down to 2. it worked fine until i parked it for several months. this weekend i can get some honda atf.
Ah i see. The “slip out” thing. Like when you accelerate and the car wont shift.
That’s one the problems I had that was fixed by changing the ATF.
Change it and lets us know how it turns out.

please don’t ever get a power flush for your tranny acura does not recommend it for our cars it could do more harm than good
