what can resetting the ECU do? are there any benefits? should i reset my ecu if it has probably never been done before? thank you

Some say that if you add a cold air intake or exhaust or something then reset the ecu you can gain a few horses. Honestly I don’t know if its true. I only reset my ecu if I throw a code (like i did when i put in turbo) that way the ecu won’t blink a code that you’ve allready taken care of.
I reset the ECU when I’m averaging less than 30 mpg. I can’t explain, but does somewhat help.

LOL sry… and under my hood it has a ECU fuse… in the “teg tips” it says to remove the “back up” fuse under the hood and i dont have that one… i did the same thing except with the fuse labeled “ECU” … same results?
