Top Speed Calc research

I’m working on a tiny program to calculate top speed given the following inputs…default values will be specified for some cars.
I think these are all the variables…anyone see anything I’m missing?

factors in top speed

–>actual Power/RPM data
–>Cd - Coefficient of Crag
–>Ap-Projected Frontal Area
–>Air Properties (Temp, Pressure, Humidity)
–>Gearing Ratio Final
–>Efficiency (Transmission+All Rolling Parts)
–>Time

:horny:

rolling resistance/kinetic friction between road surface and tires.

ps-airspeed

also remember that airspeed is what will be calculated…with a headwind of any kind, your top-out will be less, more advanced than i’m trying to do here, but really not much of an extension

pps-life and what

i am making this calc so you homes can see what kind of top end you have without risking your lives. as you have seen on all the topspeed or governess threads, most people say ‘shit, that was stupid, but i got her up to 132’ or some shit. not worht it. keep it under 85 on the higfhways, and unless you are in a safe track environment, don’t ever top out… :baby:
