Searching everywhere now for a 12mm x 1.00mm tap to clean it out – the 8th pressure plate (AT flywheel) bolt won’t go in past like 4 turns. This swap is killing me.

Now, if I don’t want to go into the 6th week carless, what’s gonna happen if I either (1) cram that bolt in or (2) go with 7 of 8 and just leave one out?
There are things that I will run with one less bolt, but that item is not one of them.
Besides, you’ll have to drop the tranny again when you get the tap in. I’d wait until you get the right tool in and fix it once.
