auto trans question

may seem like a dumb question but here we go anyway

i have a 1993 integra 2 door a/t 1.8L non vtec

i just got a auto trans from a 1991 4 dr 1.8L non vtec

will that trans work? you know just plug in and go?
or is there any differences between the 2

if so what are they…

btw thank you Archon for the trans donation to my baby.

please any help would be greatly appreciated

i think 90-91 and 92-93 autos are different

First thing that comes to mind is the OBD0,OBD1 thing. But I am not certain if anything truly is different :frowning:

I’d contact Scott @ Power and ask where they get their reman transmissions from. It says on the grey crates that they get the transmissions in. I think the company is Howard Engineering in Los Angeles on West 140th Street. They should be able to answer your questions.

IIRC, 90-93 AT’s are the same.

thanx alot guys… i just don’t wanna screw up a good trans over stupidity…

wouldnt be the first thing i screwed up in stupidity

who is scott at power and how do i get a hold of him??

The 90-93 auto trans should be interchangable. It’s the manuals where you run into issues between 90-91 and 92-93.

I’m 99% sure it’ll bolt right up and plug in fine. The TCU (tranny control unit or somethin like that) is what tells it when to shift; that’s located behind your dashboard. The only issue you /may/ run into is you may have to use your 92-93 torque converter, though I seriously doubt it.
