hey, i was wondering if anyone could maybe help me out. i have a 91 with an automatic transmission. i am getting ready to get a small loan and was strongly considering trying to swap my automatic transmission out for a 5-speed. How difficult of a swap is this? how much am i lookng to spend for the whole process? will this cause my car problems that you guys can think of? also, is the ls 5-speed my only option or are there any other suggested transmissions that i can consider. thanks for the help.
after the research i have done it is about the same to buy a stick for 1500-2000. but the real question is are you doing the swap or are you paying for it.
the reason i say is because you could get a gsr and switch everything over and then sell your running auto for like 1500. but you need the gauge cluster, to tranny, to cpu, to every physical part your hands and feet touch in your car.
