airbox/resonator removal = better gas milage?

i dont know but it seems that after i took out the resonator and the bottom airbox i’ve been getting real good milage compared to before, and sounds way better too. but i was just wondering is it true or is this just my imagination? . oh and another question, my AEM SRI should be coming this monday, will it sound/perform better than right now?

ps. thx g2ic for all the help i’m gonna order some stickers and rep dis site!! as soon as neil emails me for the amount  :auto:

I noticed a drop in MPG when I removed my resonator. But MPG tends to fluctuate a lot depending on conditions. It really won’t affect it that much. Did you change your air filter too ?

An SRI will sound different. Performance increase will be minimal. Maybe 1 or 2 HP.

I notice a huge drop every time (I’ve had 3 G2’s)

My prelude also dropped considerably.

I need a new filter for my CAI.

then why does everyone do it?

alright its just my imagination
i’m gonna install the SRI then, i see no point in keepin the stock intake :gunleft:

Clears up the engine bay space if nothing else

gives the teg a more agressive sound
