spark plug blew out

ok i was driving my car like usual right and all of a sudden i heard a loud ass pop and i was like wtf… so i pull over and i pop tha hood to see that a spark plug just blew out and tha wire broke too… so i was thinkin about driving it down to tha shop and gettin it fixed cuz i think it’d prolly need rethreadin… but see thing is, tha sparks are just flyin all over tha place so i was wonderin if its safe to drive like this? i smell tha sparks and i see a lil bit of smoke when i was driving it home so yeah… should i just spring for a tow truck? or should it be safe to drive it?

No way, dont even come close to driving it.

Did you remove the spark plugs or loosen them prior to the 1 popping off? if so maybe it was left loose and the compression forced the plug out.

what if i drive it just for like 10 blocks? still too crazy?

the “whole” plug flew out or just the top piece broke off?

I’ve seen that happen on a few cars and a golf cart without any damage to the threads in the head.
If the plug and it’s threads are’nt damaged try putting it back in.

yeah plugs dont just blow out like that unless the last person who changed it stripped the threads and just stuck it down there. or didnt tighten it good enough
