can we buy OEM seat fabric?

i have a 92 LS, graphite interior, and i’m getting a jdm rear seat, but i’d like to get it reupholstered to match my fronts, do you know if its possible to get the OEM material? or if upholstery shops can do get this? i’m don’t really wanna go with a non OEM fabric in there, i think it’ll make my car feel cheesy.

I second the cheesy part, and I too would like to know the fabric question.

I’m on it.

You can swap the factory seat covers from your USDM seats onto the JDM frames. You will have to poke holes for the headrest posts. You will also have to get the JDM headrests recovered to match your interior.

Most upolstery shops can special order the factory cloth for you.

I swapped the covers from my LSS rear seats onto JDM frames. The hardest part is removing the hog rings. I used two pairs of needle nose pliers.

ok, heres the scoop…

  1. Fabric sheets are not available for fabric.
Only in leather does Honda make “sections” of the seats.

  2. You can buy the seat “covers” through Acura.
i.e. left front bottom cover, left front back cover, right front bottom, right front back and so on…

3.unfrotunatly, after pricing the covers just now
(on my gs ivory fabric seats)
the list is a whopping $340 ea… so basically x4…

;(, o well, even with my discount I won’t be doin that…

what about the gsr fabric?

$340 for half the seat? i.e. $1360 for the front seats?

you can get real leather for less than a grand for all seats.

thanks family G2… hope to see you at one of the next meets…
