shift light

Ive already searched but no hits on my question.
Im looking for a way to add a auxilary rpm shift light in my dash without haveing to use a rpm monster tach of any kind. I just want to add a LED bulb and have it flash on when i set it to a preset rpm…
anyone ever done this or have any idea what i could use to get something like that going. Ive thought of maybe useing a vtec controller but dont really know if its possible or not.

Buy some thing like this http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-G2945/?image=large Mount it under the dash, disconnect the light and solder in the leads for a remotely mounted LED.

yeah this is what im looking for but would msd make anyhting like this or would i just need to order it from summit… reason i ask theres a shop that can get me almost any part i want if its from msd.

this shift light would be perfect if it flashed in red or yellow…

you need MSD’s rpm activated switch also

that shift light does light up red.

Ive seen people use a normal shift light and put it were there cigarette ligher is normally i know thats not the answer to your question but i thought it was pretty cool because it had a cap to cover it up so i wouldnt be lighing up at night
