Need Help!! DC shifter in DA

:argh: Okay, so I got the polywhatever bushings and the JDM GSR shifter, install went really well, that bushing by the tranny was a beeze to put in though. So I get everything in and I start the reverse process of putting it all back together and hit a snag. I try and link up the new shifter to the linkage that connects to the tranny and the bottom of the shifter is WAY longer than the stock DA one so it won’t fit. Has anyone put in a DC shifter and what did you do to correct the problem? I was thinking about just bending the linkage out until I get the GSR linkage, but I don’t want to hurt my car… Thanks in advance. any and all opinions are greatly appreciated.

mine went in no problem even with 2 1/2" piping, though i did take off the heat shield for good measure.

All you need to do is cut the shifter so that it will fit your linkage. Here are some pics I took when I installed mine.

Ahh, I got red X’s in the pictures. But thanks in advance if they are able to be shown :up: . I was either thinking about either cutting the shifter, or bending out the bracket out to where it fits. I’ll try cutting it. I’ll updat and let you guys know if it fits.
