how weak are stock non-obd pr3 ecu’s compared to other stock b-series ecu’s?

is it weak compared to a p30 or p72 so on and so forth. what would be a good factory replacement for a b16a sir?

PR3’s are OBD0 while P30 is OBD1. Both are B16 ECU’s. Use the right one for your car unless you want to do an OBD conversion.

i think all ECUs are pretty much the same…there is really no better ECU over the other (if we’re talking OBD-0 vs OBD-1 vs. OBD-2, then it’s a different story).

You basically run whatever works for your swap.

Generally I prefer OBD1.
