I have a freind with a 93 dx hatch w/ a b18c5, and keeps talking garbage about how his hatch civic has better performance down the drag strip than my teg, both cars bone stock, just headers, intake and we are going back and forth on this issue. I think he might have a slight advantage because of wight. But if anyone can help me by telling me are there any real big differences, then I can finally out this to rest…(once he gets his registered than we will settle it the real way!)

My teg has a b18c5 also…
Civics are lighter. He will win unless you have weight reduction. Also Depends on whether or not you have different transmissions.

I have a type R tranny and he has a gsr tranny…
you’ll have a slight advantage transmission-wise (w/ gearing and LSD if I’m not mistaken)
