What cams will give the highest Hp from 2nd gen with exhaust, header and intake? how much Hp to expect?
there is no set amount of HP that any certain cams will give. every engine is different. identical engines with identical performance parts will ALWAYS make different numbers on the dyno. but it all depends on how streetable you want your car to be. if you dont care about street, then id suggest the crower 405s
Even with your I/H/E, cams alone won’t give you much of an increase. I’d go with crower 403’s with maybe a reprogrammed ecu for extra fuel or an safc to give you a little extra kick in the higher rpms also leaving you with the option of building it up even more from there.
tuning is the key.
a generic ECU won’t do much other than dump tons of fuel in.
with just I/H/E, i’d get 403s, cam gears and a Hondata to tune it with…anything more than 403s, you’d want more compression, or you’ll end up losing power.
12+mm lift is a must. esp if you have stock internals.[/sarcasm]
