Will chipped, reprogrammed ECU’s like this one really add performance? Has anyone actually done this?

I dont recall Mugen ever doing any programming for non-vtec applications, but there is a slight chance I could be wrong on that as well.
Either way, you wont gain any performance from a chipped ECU if you dont add anything to your car to need the optimal tuning. So, if you have a stock car, then no it wont be worth it. If you have at least I/H/E/cams then it would be worth it.
I guess this question would be easier answered if you told us what mods you have done so far.
Oh, and I program ECU’s all the time.

I chipped my auto prelude… NOT good
