? about ITR/CTR cams

Hi,

I was wondering if the 00-01 JDM or USDM ITR cams are the same as the (JDM) CTR cams. Or are both the same? I’ve been looking at a pair of P73s… which I know is the USDM code… also JDM code? Thanks.

Brandon

i believe the intake is bigger on the CTR and exhaust is the same on both.

the 00 and up itr intake cam is similliar to the ctr intake cam, the itr is just alittle less aggressive, but not by much

CTR intake cams have 3° more duration than the JDM/'00+USDM ITR cams.

And speaking of CTR’s… how are they running?

Sweet!

It’s like my car has finally woken up. Throttle response is immediate and when VTEC comes on its

is that 3º worth a lot of power?.. for ex. is getting a set of ITR cams for 450 shipped more worth it than getting a CTR intake cam for 240+ship and then also buying an ITR exahust for ~250??? I’m trying to decide my route.

Brandon

just get the ctr intake cam and use a gsr ex cam…

:lock:

what about my b16sir2 exhaust cam? is that the same?

there was a thread about this on H-T about gs-r and itr cams …

heres a link to visually identify itr/ctr/bseries cams

here are the specifications for them

its the 98 itr cams that have 3degrees less duration. 00+ itr cams are same as ctr cams.

can someone please confirm this?

yes the 98 itr intake cam has 3 deg less duration than the 00 itr intake cam. the 96 and up itr exhaust and the ctr exhaust cam, are all the same.
