oil drain

What i’m assuming is my oil drain fitting for the pan, has this silver piece that can screw on from the inside of the pan to attach the line to the oil pan, after the a hole is made. My questions is that will just tightening this down and using teflon tape be enough? or should i jb weld it?

I’d put some JB on the pan around the hole then tighten it down to make a good seal.

dang… i say u get it done right the first time… cuz u DO NOT wanna lack on oil especially if u are gonna be boosting. take it off and get it at least tack welded or something.

X2 ^^. this is not something you want to cheap out on. just think of the consequences if that fails.

I agree as well. Since you have it of and cleaned just get it welded onto the pan. It will save you the trouble of pulling everything back off because it leaks

i have that. i welded it on the inside. and jb welded inside and around outside.
