Please help me decide on an intercooler that will support 300 hp for my turbo LS, any opinions would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.

The new Johnnyracecar Intercooler?

Core size: 25 wide X 7.75 tall X 2.75 deep
Overall: 30 from outside of end tank to outside of end tank X 8.5 tall X 3.125 at the thickest
Standard Piping: 2.5 OD X .065 wall X 2 long
There are twelve cooling rows and eleven fin rows on this intercooler.
The cooling rows on this intercooler are internally finned.
The end tanks have a brushed finish.
The threaded mounting points are steel. There are three inserts in the top and three inserts in the bottom.

2 1/2" inlet and outlet.

I like the CCA intercooler much better. A bar & plate will beat a tube & fin any day.

You wont be disappointed with the CCA.

The tube and fin is on special now I think.

I believe the CCA bar & plate is usually $350

I use a Johnnyracecar 30x6x2 and wish i had a nice CCA Bar & Plate IC

i have the 30x8.5x3 will i have fitment probs in the 90 teg

at 8.5" tall, I would think so. I have a 6" tall intercooler and 3" thick and it JUST fits and that is with my JDM bumper. Not cutting involved. Can fit bigger if you cut some…

You might have to cut like Tch says…but you can make it fit.

Buy a good sawzall with a metal blade and/or a good cutoff wheel/grinder :slight_smile:

yes you will have fitment problem unless you have the mugen replica front cover to hide the hacking. :stuck_out_tongue: btw i’m also using a jdm front bumper support.
