hey guys im interested in this integ but the moonroof has a serious crack in it, and the guy sellin it to me sez he has the moonroof glass from g3 tegs, but im not sure if the newer glass will fit. does anybody know if the newer moonroof glass fits in g2s? also, does any body know how to install the glass, take out the old glass? thanksss
The G3 glass will not fit. Replacing the moonroof isn’t a small job. I haven’t actually replaced one, but I did remove the moonroof assembly from a parts car I had. It wasn’t tough to remove, but usually its when you’re re-installing something that you’ll run into some snags. The headliner has to be removed, then the whole moonroof assembly will unbolt from the car and you can drop it down. Then the glass portion can be removed from the actual framework. Definitely something you can do if you’re somewhat mechanically inclined and have some common sense. But its not gonna be a short task.
