Has anyone refinished GS rims?

I’m looking to give my 1991 alloys a bit of TLC by sandblasting them this winter while the winter steelies are on the car. Has anyone here sanded down or sandblasted the paint off of the 90/91 GS rims? Any PICS??

I might paint them the OEM color if the sandblasting doesn’t work out, but I’d rather just sandblast the paint down to bare aluminum and then clearcoat them.

If anyone has pics or opinions, please let me know. I’m mainly doing this because the paint is peeling and the rims are getting that yellow look to them. I don’t have the $$ for new rims, nor do I want new rims. This is a daily driver.

Why don’t you just use aircraft stripper then clearcoat? Or do you want the textured sandblasted look?
