i painted my stock lip on my 90 LS, how long are you supposed to wait before you put a clear on it? its been drying and sitting for about a day.
It should say on the paint can (if you used one), usually about 24-48 hours is good enough for the paint to dry, in warm temperature.
You using rattlecan paint or real basecoat clearcoat?

Id give it a day in a well ventilated area. If you were using base/clear you could do it like an hour after basing it.
