car wont start when super hot outside

so i went to start my car right after i got out of the movies and car turned over and everything but didnt start it just sat there and shuttered like it want to start but couldn’t. and i so was thinking that it might be my fuel filter in the gas tank cause im in need of a new one but after i tryed it as again after letting the car for like 15 mins bam it starts right up.

can anyone help me out here.

does your MFR work correctly do you know how to test it.

dude its the main fuel relay under the dash!! happens all the time when that thing is old and really hot out

I agree with the above, it’s probably the PGM-FI Main Relay.

Next time it’s hot and you think there may be a problem turn the ign. switch to run, [not all the way to start] you should be able to hear the fuel pump run for a few sec., [priming], if you do not hear the the fuel pump give the relay a tap or two, if pump turns on you will need to replace or repair the relay…
