is there some sort of reliable way of rigging a power trunk release that can be activated by remote? i’m tired of fumbling with keys trying to open the hatch with an armload of shopping in the rain 
buy a 15lb solonoid for it. might be overkill but it wont freeze in winter either. im getting rid of my truck/gas door popper thing comletely by relocating my gas door and using a linear actuator so the trunk goes up and down like a window.
