"RAM" air modification.
Alright, here is the best way I could find, so far, to make a
ram air type system for our G2's. I'm still working on bringing in more air with
a molded piece of fiberglass, I'll add that when I get it done.
Here is what you're going to need.
-3 feet of 3" heater Ducting, you can find this at Ace Hardware for 65
cents a foot.
-A radiator hose clamp. Found at any automotive supply store.
-A long screw and nut to match.
-1 tie wrap
1. Remove your front passenger side tire and inner wheel well liner as well as
the bottom half of your stock cold air box. (with intake resonator removed
previously)

2. If you have not removed the intake resonator, at this point you will do so.
For pictures on this see Teg Tips under "Removing Intake Resonator".
Basically you're removing 3 bolts, easily removed just by taking the wheel well
liner out. A small ratchet or wrench will be needed to get the 3rd bolt.
3. Wrap the radiator clamp around the heater ducting, don't tighten just yet. I
had to undo the clamp completely for this step.

4. Put the ducting onto the bottom end of the cold air box and torque down your
clamp. Hand tight is fine.
5. Now here comes the part where you have to do some modification to your car.
Your horn sits directly in front of where you need to put your ducting to bring
in cold air. The horn is held in by a single screw obviously put in before the
bumper was put on at the factory. You can get to it with a very small ratchet
and a 10mm socket (not deep). Just lay under the car and you can see it. You can
easily see the small vent in front of it from here.

6. There is a small hole already very close to the stock placement of the horn.
It's directly under where the cold air box sits in the engine compartment, so no
drilling is necessary. Stick your head in the fender and look up, you'll see it.
When you get the horn off have someone stick their finger through the hole while
you look for it in the engine bay, you'll notice it's barely under the edge of
the secondary intake piping that connects to the cold air. (sorry no pics of
this) Drop your screw in there, put the horn on it, and tighten it down with
your matching nut. Then drop your cold air box in.

7. Pull your ducting toward the vent in the bumper, trim your ducting to pull
semi-tight to the vent. Punch a small hole in the end of the ducting and put
your tie wrap through it. You can now mount the tie wrap holding the ducting to
the screw hole the horn was sitting in.
I don't have access to a dyno, but I felt a significant increase
in torque as well as top end. Before I did this my motor felt like it wanted to
give up at 6k rpm, now I can feel it producing power all the way to redline.
