ICU (integrated control unit) Replacement PIX

http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=4290425277

If someone wants to write up a teg tip for this... or if you guys want me to I can, but the images speak for themselves pretty much.

This is to fix the mystery beep/beeping, the intermittent wiper relay, the defrost timer, the seat belt reminder, and a couple other things.

Took me about 25-30 minutes to take it apart, put the new one in and put it all back together.

Peace,

Jay

9ty1blackgs, do you still have an extra one of the two you bought? If so would you like to sell it? Thanks

I do still have it, but I don't know if its good or not... haven't tried it. I was going to have my dad poke around inside it and see if he can figure out what makes these things tick so he can fix em for me, and then maybe I can tell others how to fix em But I don't know if I'll actually be able to get him to check it out. Sometimes he just tells me that I'm SOL unless I get him Schematics. So I'll let you know if I decide to sell it. Hopefully I'll know within a week or so.

Ok that sounds good. I was hoping to have a new one put in by like May when finals are over. So if your dad can check it out, great..if not ill still buy it to take a look at it because my girlfriends father is an electrician so he is always willing to help. The experience in taking it apart may help me also. So just let me know if your going to sell it and for how much and we can work something out. Thanks again.

my rear defrogger and hazzard doesn't work. I changed both defogger and hazzard knobs and relay and it did not work. now I am going to change the ICU. Problem, I am having trouble removing the old one. I took both bolt out, but the wiring is very tight. can u give me some hint.
